The recently completed Wisconsin Waterfowl Habitat Conservation Strategy is now available. This tool was developed collaboratively by numerous Wisconsin partners with support from our JV Science Staff to guide and inform decisions for waterfowl habitat conservation. Conceived as a step-down from the Joint Venture Waterfowl Habitat Strategy, the Wisconsin strategy incorporates many of the changes in technology, landscape, and society that have happened since the original Wisconsin Plan was produced nearly 30 years ago. Congratulations to the Wisconsin partners for developing a plan that will result in habitat gains for waterfowl and serve as a template for other states in our Joint Venture to use.
